I have a few friends and relatives from the southern climes who have doubts about my mental acumen as I do live in Minnesota . . . year ‘round. I simply smile at their bewilderment. They have yet to experience the enlightenment one receives shoveling 18” of snow, in the dark, at ten below, with 20 mph wind gusts. They have yet to be exposed to the hardiness of frostbitten fingers or the wonder of frozen tears on their cheeks. However, I’m sure I share with most of my readers a love for family and close friends, knowing time with them is a cherished privilege. I may even have a few readers who enjoy fishing, biking, hiking, and finding a good book.
